Base Materials will be exhibiting at the Composites in Motorsport event at the Williams F1 Conference Centre in Oxford, UK on the 22-23 October 2019.

With a long history providing consistently high-quality model, pattern and tooling materials for the motorsports industry, Base says it has become one of Europe’s leading manufacturers.

Base continues to provide its high performance materials currently supporting eight out of 10 F1 teams alongside many other programs including Formula E,  As demand for products has increased so has its capacity to remain competitive and drive innovation, Base continues its investment commitment across its facilities putting operational efficiencies and product improvement at the forefront.

As a result of the company’s performance within motorsport and as composites began to find further applications in other areas where weight, strength and performance were critical design considerations Base has been able to build on its heritage to become the preferred supplier to several high-performance global vehicle manufacturers.

Base works closely with its partners to develop solutions that meet their requirements. This includes polyurethane boards for model and styling, a range of epoxy pattern and tooling board complimented with a range of ancillary products for bonding, sealing and release

John Miller, Managing Director of Base Materials said, “The motorsport sector is extremely important to Base Materials. It’s where it all began for us over 18 years ago, and it continues to be one of the most innovative, fast paced industries one we are proud to support. I believe the main reason for our success has been our commitment right from the start to work closely with our customers, understand their needs, and develop products with the right performance characteristics whilst maintaining a commercial advantage for our clients.”

“We recognise and appreciate the rapidly changing world we operate in and are continually developing our expertise in order to stay at the forefront of technology and our competitors. It’s this approach that has enabled us to deliver year on year growth expanding our activities both in domestic and international regions, none of this would be possible without our partners and we are grateful for their continued support.”
